Our Story
Flourish Family Therapy was founded in 2022, rebranded from Atlanta Family Counseling Center, established in Gwinnett County in 2005. Our Clinical Director/Owner, Jennifer (Hope) Kennedy started with Atlanta Family Counseling Center in 2008, and was able to take over as owner of AFC in 2012, finally rebranding to Flourish Family Therapy in 2022. Jennifer’s empathetic and understanding nature, commitment to helping others thrive and her dedication to clients and staff created the foundation of Flourish, which remains a pillar to the local community. Flourish started with a simple mission: to provide accessible, high-quality mental health care to individuals and families in our community. What began as a small practice has grown into a diverse team of professionals, each bringing unique specialties and perspectives to Flourish.
Our growth has been guided by our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our clients. As we expanded, we've maintained our core values of compassion, excellence, and inclusivity.
