Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at support@flourishft.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Your first session is primarily about getting to know each other. Your therapist will explain how therapy works, discuss confidentiality, and gather information about your background and current concerns. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and share what you hope to achieve through therapy. This session helps determine if the therapist is a good fit for your needs and begins the process of building a therapeutic relationship. There's no pressure to delve into deep issues immediately—therapy proceeds at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

The duration of therapy varies widely depending on your goals, the complexity of your concerns, and your personal preferences. Some people achieve their objectives in 8-12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support spanning several months or even years. We offer both brief, solution-focused approaches and more in-depth work. Your therapist will discuss recommendations based on your specific situation and regularly review progress with you. You always have control over how long you continue in therapy.  Each session with a counselor is 45-50 minutes.

Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of therapy. What you share with your therapist remains private, with a few specific exceptions required by law: if there is imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, suspicion of abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, or in rare cases when records are court-ordered. These limitations to confidentiality will be explained in detail during your first session. For minors, parents generally have legal right to information, but we work with families to establish appropriate privacy for the therapeutic relationship while keeping parents appropriately informed.

Yes, we are currently in network with Aetna, Aetna EAP, Anthem EAP, BCBS, Cigna, Cigna EAP, Evernorth, Magellan, Humana, United Health Care, Tricare.
